Ethan reviews the hand-written pages on this site — every service, problem, cost and safety page, and every guide — against what the work actually involves on a roof. Where a page states a standard, he is the one who checks it says what the standard says.
He does not visit homes on behalf of VIO CHIMNEY, and neither does anyone else here: the on-site work is performed by independent local companies. His job is that the advice you read before they arrive is correct.

How reviewing works here
Hand-written pages carry a review date in the byline and it means a person read them. The several thousand generated city and neighbourhood pages say something different on purpose — that the data was rebuilt on a date and the method was reviewed — because nobody has read each one and claiming otherwise next to a photograph would be a lie at scale. The full rules are in our editorial policy.
