Ryan CarterFounderAbout Ryan
Ryan founded VIO CHIMNEY in 2019 around one bet: that a homeowner facing a chimney problem wants a single trustworthy front door more than they want a directory of thirty numbers to call.
He owns the decisions that shape what the network is allowed to promise — the screening criteria, the requirement that every job starts with a written estimate, and the rule that the referral disclosure overrides marketing copy wherever the two disagree.
Works on
- Home services referral networks
- Contractor screening and standards
- Consumer disclosure

How reviewing works here
Hand-written pages carry a review date in the byline and it means a person read them. The several thousand generated city and neighbourhood pages say something different on purpose — that the data was rebuilt on a date and the method was reviewed — because nobody has read each one and claiming otherwise next to a photograph would be a lie at scale. The full rules are in our editorial policy.
